Below is a list of animals currently looking for their forever homes. If you can offer these animals a secure, loving, permanent home, please get in touch. If I do not have the pet you are looking for, please contact me or see the links page for other rescue organisations who may have your perfect pet waiting for you.
Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th November 2009
Jollyes, Westcroft
We will be at the back of the store with the animals for you to meet, greet and see in person!
More details will be posted shortly, as there are quite a few small furries to bring along, we are considering bringing rabbits one day and guinea pigs on the other.
PLEASE NOTE: We will NOT be allowing our pets to be adopted and homed directly from the shop on the day. Serious, interested families will be asked to complete and sign an adoption agreement, pay the requested donation in full, and arrange to collect their chosen pet from the rescue at a mutually convenient time and day. This is to avoid pets being adopted on a whim.
Please also note that we are unable to reserve your chosen pet for you unless your donation/adoption fee is paid in full. This is due to a large amount of people letting us and the animals down in the past, and to avoid families being unduly disappointed to see their favourite pet needlessly reserved by people that have no intention of adopting them, as has happened at previous open days.
Thank you for your continued support.

Sugar and Spice are sweet sisters. They are fawn in colour. They are aged approximately 3-3 1/2 and are in good health.
They are slightly larger than an average rabbit, so will need a substantial sized hutch and run, with plenty of space.
Both have lovely natures and will make smashing family pets. Both girls have been spayed and enoy a relatively relaxed lifestyle! Built for comfort, not speed!
*UPDATE*
Sugar and Spice have been here the longest out of all the bunnies. They had LOADS of attention at our open day, proved themselves to be real stars and loved all of the fuss and cuddles, we were disappointed when the family that had asked to adopt them didnt call or come and collect them. These girls really do deserve their own home, to be spoilt by their own family.
*UPDATE*
These ladies have been waiting for a new home for over 6 months now. Their donation amount has been lowered to help find them their forever home a little bit faster. They will relish the opportunity to be loved by their own family and to have their own garden to run around in and explore. They deserve the very best.

Lola is a very pretty harlequin lop, Daisy is a shy, but pretty, black bunny.
They have lived together all their lives and are closely bonded. They are approximately 3 1/2 years old.
Lola is the more confident of the two and very inqusitive, Daisy is more reserved.
Both bunnies will dig (course they will, thats what rabbits do!) so will need a secure run that they cannot dig out of.
Sweet girls looking for a permanent home.
*UPDATE*
These girls have had NO interest whatsoever! They are lovely, and would make lovely family pets. Their adoption fee has been lowered to help them find their forever home quicker.
Pet home only, NO BREEDERS need apply.

Sapphire is pure black.
She is approximately 6-8 months old.
Sapphire is a small-med sized rabbit, and would love a neutered male to be her husbun. She hasn't got any company at present and would benefit from having the companionship of a confident bunny. I am not willing to rehome Sapphire to live alone.
Sapphire isnt nasty, nippy or scratchy, but is just a shy girlie in need of some TLC and confidence.
Please note that proof of neutering will be required. Your vet will be happy to speak to me to confirm or I can accept documentation from a rescue showing your male is neutered. This is to protect Sapphire from being used for breeding.
A permanent, PET home only please, NO BREEDERS NEED APPLY.
Picture to follow
Bubbles is approximately 18 months old.
She is black, white and has a few ginger flecks.
She had come into rescue with her husbun, their older children (Sapphire, above, is one of them), a litter of 5 week old babies, and a litter of newborn babies. She has been a busy girl this year and is said to have given birth to at least 80 babies.
As a result, Bubbles was in poor condition, had no lustre to her coat and was pitifully thin.
She has done a fantastic job of rearing all of her babies, and has had a break following their weaning and leaving mum.
Bubbles is independent, but friendly and pretty. She would LOVE a home with a neutered male rabbit and a responsible family who wouldnt dream of putting her fragile body through another litter in her lifetime.
A permanent, loving, PET home only please, NO BREEDERS need apply
Due to the release of the film G.Force at cinemas, we anticipate a high number of calls for guinea pigs.
These piggies are not going to ride motorcyles, nor will they try and save the planet and so on...
If you have been to see the film, and are now being pestered by the children to get some piggies of your own, please think long and hard about the commitment you are undertaking. They can live up to 8 years, require daily care and possible medical care, and if and when the children tire of caring for the pets, the responsibility will fall on you.
I am happy to home the pets as family pets, where the adult/s in the home are the primary caregivers and the children are taught responsibility and respect for animals, but will NOT home the guinea pigs, or any other pet, as childrens birthday gifts or as the sole responsibility for a child.
I am happy to answer any queries or questions about the care and needs of guinea pigs to help you make an informed decision about whether they are the pet for your family or not.
The animals in my care are my main concern, if you are unable to accept, understand or appreciate my rehoming ethics, then please do not apply.
Please note, that as the chilly weather is starting to creep in, our piggies have been moved inside a shed for protection from the elements.
As a result, we are unable to let our piggies go to a home where they will be in a hutch in the garden now they will be used to a draft free, cozy environment.
Guinea pigs are not very good at coping with dramatic changes in weather and we advise all piggies being given the shelter of a shed, a garage that isnt used for a car, or a conseratory when the temperatures start to drop. Better still, bring them inside your home and as a real part of the family!
Curly is pictured above lefy, Whirly is pictured on the right.
Curly is a striking red and white Swiss piggie. He has a coarse curly coat and is 14 months old. He is a special pig!
Whirly is a pretty tri colour abyssinian and is approximately 14-16 weeks old.
The boys have only recently been introduced recently and are getting on well.
Whirly is quite shy, and will look to Curly for comfort and security. Curly is a more bold piggie and happily accepts his role as 'Dad'. Curly is good to handle and Whirly will be with tlc and patience.
PLEASE NOTE, due to Curly being a rare breed pig, these boys have a higher than normal adoption fee. This is to put off prospective breeders trying to obtain the boys to use Curly as a stud. I will only allow these chaps to go to a local home, and will require ID from new owners.
Permanent PET home only please, NO BREEDERS need apply.
Moby is pictured above left, Minstrel is pictured above right.
Moby is a striking dark saffron and is of the rare Ridgeback breeding. He is 1 year 3 months old. He is a very special pig!
Minstrel is a black and white smooth coat, and is approximately 12-14 weeks old.
These boys have recently been introduced and are getting on well.
Both boys will play up and fidget when you catch them from their hutch and first handle them, but will soon settle in experienced hands and enjoy cuddles.
PLEASE NOTE, due to Moby being a rare variety, he and Minstrel have a higher adoption fee than normal. This is to put off prospective breeders trying to obtain the chaps to use Moby as a stud. I will only allow these boys to go to a local home, and will require ID from new owners.

Mario is pictured on the left, Luigi is pictured right.
Mario is black with a white blaze. He is 8 months old.
Luigi is a buff abyruvian ( a cross between an abyssinian and a peruvian) and he is 1 year 3 months old.
Both boys came in as part of a large rescue that involved over 100 piggies. Although loved, the population had increased beyond control and most, if not all, of the piggies had visible lice and mite infestations. They also proved fairly aggressive to other piggies after coming from a free range home to living in hutches, the lack of their usual space caused a few arguments amongst the boys.
These boys have been living together for a few weeks now, and apart from the odd bicker over the bedroom, they get on well. They will need a good sized hutch (compliant with the Animal Welfare Act 2007 or above) and will enjoy exercise in a run.
They are gradually learning to appreciate human touch, handling and cuddles but will need a home with older children/teens/adults.
*UPDATE*
Our lovely Luigi was selected to appear on a television series due to be aired soon! Sadly, the feature he was going to make his screen debut on had to be cancelled at the last minute, but he was very nearly a celebrity piggie!
Permanent PET home only please. NO BREEDERS NEED APPLY.
Patch is a tri colour semi long haired piggie and is 8 months old
Friesia is a black and white smooth haired piggie and is 1 year 4 months.
As you can see from the pigtures, both boys look very different from each side! Both boys have a very distinctive eye marking, which makes them a pair of the most handsome piggies I have had the pleasure to look after.
Patch is the more dominant of the two but they live happily together. They have the occasional bicker over their bedroom, so will need an adequately sized hutch to avoid arguments over space.
These piggies came in as part of a rescue of over 100 piggies. Although loved, their population had grown beyond control and many of the piggies, if not all, were heavily lice and mite infested and received little human attention. They have been treated for this and work on their handling has been consistent.
Friesia is happier to be handled and will not squirm as much, but Patch is still very much a fidget. These chaps will require an home experienced with guinea pigs and confident enough to be able to handle the boys daily and work on their confidence.
Permanent PET home only please. NO BREEDERS need apply.
Blaze is pictured above left, Smidgen is on the right.
Blaze is a stunning red and white smooth haired piggie, he is 1 year 3 months old.
Smidgen is a smooth haired black piggie with a 'smidgen' of light brown on his side! He is approxiamately 14-16 weeks old.
Both are a little bit skittish when in their hutch and will squirm for a while but soon settle to enjoy cuddles.
The boys have only recently been introduced but get along well and would like a home together.
Permanent PET home only please, NO BREEDERS need apply
Basil is pictured at the back, Chive is in the foreground
Basil is approximately 12-18 months old and is believed to have been the 'cause' of the other 13 piggies that came in with him!
Chive is believed to be Basils son, and is approximately 16 weeks old.
Both boys have extremely good natures and while in a holding run with 7 other males of varying ages while I sorted out their accomodation got on fantastically with the other chaps and have been very easy to pair up.
Basil, being a little older and wiser, has more confidence and is happy to be handled, Chive is a little more shy, which is common with younger piggies.
They would love a home of their own with lots of cuddles and love!
Permanent PET home only please, NO BREEDERS need apply
Below are the pets that have come into rescue and been lucky enough to find loving homes with lovely families!
Dylan and Zeb found a wonderful home within 24 hours of going into their foster home!
Sunshine and Jaffa have now found a forever home with their foster carer, who did a fantastic job in showing the boys the joys of being loved and fell in love with them herself!

These charming chaps have now found a wonderful new home and will enjoy a new life being spoilt rotten!
Connie has only been with me for a few days, but already we have an incredible bond.
I have decided I am unable to part with her and let her go, so Connie will be staying with me!
Squiz has now been adopted by his foster dad Mark, who has fallen in love with Squiz and has offered him a permanent home. Thank you Mark x
Pepe Le Pew has now been rehomed. Many thanks to the Blausten family for coming all the way from London. Good luck in your new home!
Shadow and Moonlight have now been adopted, thank you and good luck to the Morris Family.
