Welcome to the page for Meg's Meadow. The service devoted to caring for your small pet while you are either on holiday, working longer hours than normal, caring for a sick relative, or facing a short spell in hospital.
I provide:
Fully alarmed premises, 24 hours a day
Spacious and roomy hutches, which are thoroughly disinfected, scrubbed out, and protected with anti-parasite spray between clients
Access to fresh grass within a safe enclosure daily
Fresh hay for your pet to eat
Fresh fruit and vegetables given daily
Hourly checks
A fantastic vet on 24 hour standby if needed (consultation fee at my cost if no treatment required, but otherwise, entire vet bill will be at your cost)
A routine which mirrors your own routine, meaning less stress for your pet
Cuddles a plenty!
All I ask in return is:
That you provide enough of your pet's own food to last the duration of its stay. I would be happy to provide food while here, but due to the volume of different pets I care for, finding space for storage of all the various types of food is difficult, and it may go to waste before it is all used. By using your own food, it lowers the Boarding Care price, and also means there is no risk of upsetting your pet's tummy with a change of diet.
For mice, gerbils, rats, and hamsters = 30p per day for 2 pets, discount for additional pets
Guinea pigs, rabbits and chinchillas = 50p per day for 2 pets, discount for additional pets
Please note, that seasonal holidays and bank holiday care carries an additional small fee.

Chickens, quail, other small poultry -excluding cockerels- = 50p per bird per day or £2 for 6 per day (spacious coop provided, including closing night nest box for security and safety, maximum of 6 birds)

NOW FOR THE BORING, BUT ESSENTIAL 'SMALL PRINT'
The total cost of boarding must be paid in full either at time of booking or when the pets are dropped off. This is due to many people using boarding as an excuse to dump off unwanted animals (when they could so easily surrender them properly..)
Charges start from the day off drop off and include the day of collection. For instance, a guinea pig dropped off at 2pm on a Saturday and collected at 2pm the following Saturday would total £4.
If you need to cancel your booking, please be courteous and cancel as soon as you are aware that you will not be needing my services. By freeing up a booking, it gives me the opportunity to raise more funds for the rescue animals by filling that space.
Any deposit paid is non refundable.
While every effort is made to ensure there is an adequate amount of housing available for Boarding guests, there may be times when I have no spare accomodation available, such as an influx of rescue 'inmates'. In this instance, you will be informed of the situation, and be given the opportunity to cancel, or to bring along your own cage/hutch/tank.
