Finding a new home for your feathered friend/friends can be upsetting and challenging. Some types of large bird can be extremely demanding, and while experienced bird owners are able to cope and offer the type of care a high maintenance bird requires, some new owners would find they have bitten off more than they can chew, and the end result is a bird that is passed from pillar to post, ending up severely traumatised and depressed.
I offer a safe and secure refuge to unwanted caged birds, ranging in size from canaries up to the larger parrot species. Spaces are extremely limited, as I do not want to cram in hundreds of bird cages and reduce the quality of care given to the birds and animals here by having a large quantity.
I have a diploma in animal psychology, and can confidently take on the challenge of noisy, vicious, feather plucked and self mutilating birds.
I have many happy residents here from various backgrounds!
Please note, I aim to offer a permanent, secure and experienced home to any unwanted cage bird. I do not rehome birds on unless it has been agreed with the previous owner that a permanent home should be found via the rescue. Please do not enquire if I have any birds looking for homes.
